Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to continue collaboration with global partners to foster inclusive growth, improve education and healthcare, and enhance environmental sustainability, all aimed at easing the cost of living during ongoing global economic challenges.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in a statement marking the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that eradicating poverty is not only a moral duty but also essential for achieving sustainable development and ensuring global peace and prosperity. He stressed the government’s commitment to making life more affordable for its citizens in light of current global inflation and economic uncertainties.
The Prime Minister highlighted that targeted governmental efforts are focused on empowering communities, particularly women and children, by providing them with necessary resources to improve their futures. Initiatives like the PM Youth Business and Agriculture Loans, Digi-Skills for free IT training, and the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund, he noted, are significantly transforming lives by offering financial and technical assistance to millions.
Sharif also reaffirmed his dedication to achieving the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals, with poverty eradication at the forefront of these objectives. He called on all sectors to join in building a more prosperous, equitable, and inclusive society.
