Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the enduring alliance between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, stating that the two nations stand proudly together across all circumstances. This declaration followed a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who attended the Pakistan Day parade in Islamabad as the guest of honor.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister took to the social media platform X to share his thoughts on the visit, expressing pleasure over his interaction with the Saudi dignitary. Sharif extended warm wishes to the Saudi King and Crown Prince on behalf of Pakistan and lauded Prince Khalid for his role in bolstering the fraternal ties between the two countries. This was underscored by the conferment of Pakistan’s highest civil award, ‘Nishan-e-Pakistan’, on Prince Khalid in recognition of his contributions.
On his part, Prince Khalid bin Salman shared insights from his discussions with Prime Minister Sharif, highlighting the robust relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and exploring avenues to further enhance these ties. The discussions also ventured into regional and international developments, with a mutual interest in promoting peace and stability.
