Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, exchanging Eid-ul-Fitr greetings and discussing bilateral relations and regional issues.
According to Press Information Department, during the conversation, Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed the strong ties between Pakistan and Egypt, expressing a commitment to enhancing cooperation across areas of mutual interest. The leaders also discussed the evolving situation in Iran and the Gulf region, sharing concerns over ongoing hostilities and agreeing on the need for continued diplomatic efforts to restore peace and normalcy.
Prime Minister Sharif appreciated Egypt’s diplomatic contributions to peace efforts in the Middle East, further solidifying the cooperative spirit between the two nations. President El-Sisi reciprocated the Eid-ul-Fitr greetings and conveyed sentiments of goodwill for the people of Pakistan.
