Prime Minister Sharif and Amir of Qatar Discuss Cultural Exchange and Diplomatic Ties

Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephonic conversation with the Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to exchange Eid ul Fitr greetings and discuss potential cultural and diplomatic collaborations.

During the call, Prime Minister Sharif extended his warm wishes to the Amir and the people of Qatar, which were reciprocated by His Highness. The conversation highlighted the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Doha, where he expressed gratitude for the hosting of the Manzar cultural exhibition. The Prime Minister proposed a similar event in Lahore, an idea welcomed by the Amir.

Both leaders expressed a commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, especially in trade and investment. A Qatari delegation is scheduled to visit Pakistan following Eid to advance these discussions.

The dialogue also touched upon regional issues, with Prime Minister Sharif praising Qatar’s diplomatic efforts in promoting peace, particularly in Gaza. An invitation was extended to the Amir for an official visit to Pakistan.
