Prime Minister Reaffirms Support for Saudi Arabia and Qatar Amid Middle East Tensions


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for Saudi Arabia and Qatar amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East. In a message shared on the social media platform X, Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to fostering peace in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.



The Prime Minister disclosed that he had met with the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to discuss the rapidly changing situation in the Middle East. He reassured the ambassador of Pakistan’s intention to maintain close cooperation with Saudi Arabia, highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement.



Sharif also extended his prayers and best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, expressing solidarity with the leadership and people of the Kingdom.



In a separate post on X, the Prime Minister reported a meeting with the Qatari Ambassador. Sharif expressed solidarity with the Amir and people of Qatar following recent attacks, reiterating Pakistan’s advocacy for dialogue as the sole means to achieve lasting peace in the region.



The Prime Minister conveyed prayers for the safety and security of the Qatari people and emphasized Pakistan’s enduring commitment to regional stability.
