Riyadh: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan engaged in a meeting with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the eighth session of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh.
According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed his best wishes for the health and well-being of His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. He emphasized the significance of the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and expressed appreciation for the Kingdom’s support for Pakistan’s economic revival and stability.
The discussions between the two leaders included a review of ongoing bilateral engagements, particularly following decisions made in previous high-level meetings in Makkah and Riyadh earlier in April 2024. Prime Minister Sharif informed the Crown Prince about Pakistan’s economic, institutional, and policy reforms agenda, highlighting the central role of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan’s future economic plans.
Additionally, the Prime Minister acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s efforts to promote regional peace and stability in the Middle East, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to support the Kingdom in these endeavors. The leaders exchanged views on regional developments and agreed to maintain close coordination on regional issues.
