Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit Dushanbe, Tajikistan from July 2 to 3, 2024, on an official trip at the invitation of Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon. This visit aims to reinforce and expand bilateral ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan, with a focus on enhancing regional connectivity, trade, and energy cooperation.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his visit, Prime Minister Sharif will hold meetings with key Tajik leaders including President Rahmon, Chairman of Majlisi Namoyandagon Mahmadtoir Zoir Zokirzoda, and Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda. These discussions are part of ongoing high-level exchanges that underscore the close relationship between the two countries.
The leaders are expected to engage in comprehensive dialogues covering various domains of mutual interest. This will include advancing bilateral cooperation in areas crucial for both nations such as regional connectivity, trade, people-to-people contacts, energy, and multilateral cooperation. Additionally, the visit will see the signing of multiple agreements and Memorandums of Understanding, aiming to solidify cooperation across these diverse fields.
