Islamabad, February 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Imran Khan has left for China on a four-day official visit. He is accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin, and Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, National Security Advisor Dr. Moeed Yusuf, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razzaq Dawood and Special Assistant on CPEC Khalid Mansoor.
The Prime Minister will attend the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games. During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping Prime Minister Li Keqiang. The leaders will review the entire gamut of bilateral relations, with a particular focus on stronger trade and economic cooperation including CPEC. They will also have wide-ranging exchange of views on major regional and international issues. The Chinese investors, having interest to invest in Pakistan, will also call on the Prime Minister.
According to Foreign Office, the visit would renew the bilateral commitment to taking the iron-clad partnership between Pakistan and China to new heights and add impetus to cooperation across multiple domains. A number of MoUs and Agreements would be concluded during the visit.
