Prime Minister Encourages PML-N Senators to Foster National Unity and Foreign Policy

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on members of the Senate from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to actively contribute towards fostering national unity and provincial harmony, while emphasizing the necessity of a robust foreign policy.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister made these remarks during a meeting with Senator Irfan Siddiqui, leader of the PML-N parliamentary party in the Senate and Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. The discussions took place in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Shehbaz Sharif underlined the importance of maintaining strong relationships with other political parties in the Upper House to promote unity. He highlighted the critical role that a strong foreign policy plays in the current global landscape and expressed his expectation that the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, under Senator Siddiqui’s leadership, would serve as a guiding force for the government.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of PML-N senators, led by Senator Siddiqui, in contributing to national development. Senator Siddiqui, in turn, updated the Prime Minister on the activities of the parliamentary party in the Senate and the performance of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs.
