Islamabad, July 31, 2021 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Imran Khan has emphasized on setting up of modern infrastructure and provision of training to local population to promote tourism in Gilgit-Baltistan. This he stated while chairing the 12th session of the Gilgit Baltistan Council in Islamabad. The Council also approved policy directive for the auction of next generation mobile services spectrum to provide better communication facilities to the people.
The meeting approved Gilgit Baltistan Council (Election) Rules 2021, under which six members of the council will be elected. After formal approval of the agenda, Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister about latest situation as a result of recent rains and relief measures. The meeting also held detailed discussion on utilizing full potential of the tourism sector in Gilgit-Baltistan.
