Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended his congratulations to Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on his election as president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).

In a statement, the prime minister also conveyed his felicitations to Chaudhry Salik Hussain, who has been elected as the Senior Vice President of the party. Other newly elected officials include Tariq Hassan as the General Secretary, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain as the president of the party in Punjab, Dr. Muhammad Amjad as the chief organizer, and Ghulam Mustafa Malik as the central secretary of information.

The prime minister expressed his best wishes to the newly elected leadership of PML-Q.

He highlighted the significance of PML-Q as an ally of the government, noting its support for other allied parties and its willingness to prioritize economic stability and development over political interests during the last tenure.
