Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed appreciation for the country’s security institutions in their efforts to maintain peace and stability. This acknowledgment came during a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore, where they discussed the overall law and order situation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the security arrangements made for Eid-ul-Adha, emphasizing the protection of lives, property, and the safety of public spaces. The discussion also included preparations for the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan. Naqvi assured the Prime Minister that all necessary measures had been completed to ensure a safe environment for voters during the electoral process.
The Prime Minister commended the Interior Minister and his team for their effective security arrangements concerning the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections. He reinforced the government’s commitment to taking all necessary steps to support the democratic process in the region.
