Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar to Represent Pakistan at Third Belt and Road Forum in Beijing

Islamabad, The opening ceremony of the third Belt and Road Forum is set to take place in Beijing today, with Chinese President Xi Jinping slated to give the keynote address. Representing Pakistan at this notable event will be Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar.

In his forthcoming address, the Prime Minister will shed light on the strides made under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) during the past decade. He will further spotlight the future objectives of this pivotal initiative, simultaneously reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the project.

Beyond the forum’s proceedings, the Prime Minister’s visit will also encompass bilateral discussions with prominent figures in the Chinese leadership, including scheduled meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. These interactions are anticipated to culminate in the signing of several agreements and Memorandums of Understanding in diverse sectors such as agriculture, health, industry, green energy, and space technology.

Further enhancing bilateral ties, Prime Minister Kakar will extend his visit to Urumqi, where he aims to engage with local authorities and entrepreneurs. This engagement seeks to foster greater trade, stimulate investment, and deepen people-to-people connections.
