Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar have extended their congratulations to the newly elected officials of the Association of Electronic Media Editors and News Directors (AEMEND).
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif in his message expressed optimism that the new leadership will significantly contribute to promoting positive journalism and enhancing freedom of expression in Pakistan. He underscored the crucial role of editors and news directors in strengthening democracy and addressing social issues through responsible journalism.
Similarly, Minister Tarar praised the vital and sensitive role of the broadcasting journalism sector, particularly emphasizing the importance of combating fake news. He expressed confidence that the newly elected AEMEND members would fulfill their responsibilities with integrity and continue to uphold the standards of journalistic excellence.
