Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed Pakistan’s intention to deepen its historical relationship with Poland into a comprehensive, enduring partnership. The announcement was made during a meeting in Islamabad with Tomasz Siemoniak, a Member of the Council of Ministers and Coordinator of Special Services of the Republic of Poland.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister conveyed his satisfaction with the positive development of relations between the two nations. He emphasized the significance of leadership-level exchanges as a key driver for broadening bilateral relations. The Prime Minister also highlighted the necessity for increased interaction between business communities in Pakistan and Poland to foster economic ties.
In the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Poland’s support for Pakistan concerning the European Union’s Generalized Scheme of Preferences (GSP Plus) and expressed optimism about continued collaboration across various sectors. He also stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional tensions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to promoting peace and stability in the region.
The discussions between the two parties included an exchange of views on important regional and international issues, such as the current situation in the Middle East.
