Presidential Election Scheduled for March 9 in Islamabad


Islamabad, The election for the office of the President of Pakistan is set to take place on Saturday, with the polling locations established at the Parliament House in Islamabad and across the four provincial assemblies. According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the candidates participating in this critical election had until today to withdraw their nomination papers. Among the notable nominations are Asif Ali Zardari, the joint candidate from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Mahmood Khan Achakzai, representing the Sunni Ittehad Council.
