Presidential Adviser Sardar Imtiaz Ahmad Khan Commends Newly Elected Central House of Journalism TeamIG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Reviews Construction of DIG Security Division Office

Islamabad, Presidential Adviser Sardar Imtiaz Ahmad Khan extended his congratulations to the newly elected administration and members of the Majlis-e-Amaila of the Central House of Journalism following their success in the 2024 elections.

According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Imtiaz Ahmad Khan praised the Central House of Journalism, Muzaffarabad, for its long-standing and historical significance in the state of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He acknowledged the organization’s commitment to representing the interests of people on both sides of the Jammu and Kashmir state and its efforts in prominently highlighting the Kashmir issue.

Khan emphasized the role of the Central House of Journalism in representing the oppressed and middle class and in exposing the atrocities committed by Indian forces in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He commented on the increasing oppression under Modi’s government, especially in the context of elections, while expressing confidence in the resilience and high morale of the Kashmiris, foreseeing a future liberation of Occupied Kashmir from Indian rule.

On this occasion, Khan congratulated the newly elected administration of the Central House of Journalism, including President Wahid Iqbal Butt, Senior Vice President Masoodur Rahman Abbasi, Vice President Raja Ejaz, General Secretary Zulfiqar Hussain Butt, Additional General Secretary Syed Ejaz Kazmi, Joint Secretary Shujaat Mir, Finance Secretary Nasreen Sheikh, Information Secretary Raja Khalid Mehmood. He also extended his best wishes to the senior journalists elected as Majlis-e-Amaila members, namely Arif Arfi, Imtiaz Awan, Abdul Hakeem Kashmiri, Ibrahim Gul, Ishtiaq Ahmed Atesh, Khurram Atta Sheikh, and Syed Ghulam Raza Kazmi.

The commendation from the Presidential Adviser highlights the vital role of journalism in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and underscores the ongoing challenges and aspirations of the Kashmiri people in the context of the regional conflict.

Lahore, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, conducted a surprise inspection of the under-construction office of the DIG Security Division, issuing directives for the completion of finishing and fixtures.



According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar emphasized the importance of adhering to high standards in the decoration and final touches of the new office, insisting on no compromise in quality. He remarked that the support of the Punjab Government has been instrumental in upgrading police offices and stations with the latest resources.



The new DIG Security Division office is expected to be inaugurated soon. Dr. Anwar also noted that the development of police infrastructure has significantly enhanced the delivery of public services to citizens. Senior officials, including DIG Security Kamran Adil, DIG Telecommunication Imran Ahmar, and SSP Security Division Khalid Mehmood, were present during the visit.
