Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has tested positive for coronavirus, according to a statement from the Presidency. The statement, quoting the President’s personal physician, Dr. Asim Hussain, confirmed the diagnosis following multiple tests.
President Zardari is currently in isolation, as advised by medical experts. The statement added that a team of specialists is monitoring the President’s health, reporting that his condition is improving.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a statement expressing his wishes for President Zardari’s swift recovery. The Prime Minister also appealed to the nation to pray for the President’s health.
