Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has publicly voiced his sorrow over the extensive human and material damages inflicted by recent torrential rains and floods affecting various regions of Pakistan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in a statement released by his office, President Zardari extended his heartfelt condolences to the families who have suffered from the calamity. He has instructed relevant authorities to intensify rescue and relief operations to assist those affected by the floods.
The President emphasized the importance of proactive measures to prevent further loss of life and property. He has called on local administrations to implement effective rainwater drainage systems and establish protocols to manage and mitigate emergencies promptly.
