Rawalpindi, President Asif Ali Zardari has committed to providing full support to all provinces to ensure the success of the Green Pakistan Initiative, aimed at enhancing the nation’s future through environmental and agricultural reforms. The president made these remarks while chairing a meeting of the Land Information and Management System in Rawalpindi, where he urged the Green Pakistan Initiative team to focus on national and economic development.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the meeting, President Zardari received updates on advanced water management techniques and the cleaning of canals, as well as IT-based operations aimed at improving water efficiency in agriculture. He was also briefed on innovative concepts like agricultural malls and smart farms, which are designed to support farmers and boost the agricultural sector’s growth.
