Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari met today with the Nawab of Bahawalpur, Nawab Salah-ud-Din Ahmed Abbasi, and his son Bahawal Khan Abbasi, acknowledging their family’s longstanding contributions to Pakistan, particularly in the social sector. The meeting focused on the development needs of South Punjab and other mutual interests, emphasizing collaborative efforts for national prosperity.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the discussions, President Zardari commended the Nawab’s service and the broader role of his family in supporting Pakistan’s social development initiatives. The talks also covered the overall situation in the country, with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities in South Punjab. President Zardari expressed the need for all stakeholders to unite in their efforts to foster development and ensure the prosperity of Pakistan, highlighting the importance of cooperation across various sectors and regions.
