Islamabad, In a solemn investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Sunday, President Asif Ali Zardari conferred military awards on both serving and martyred members of Pakistan’s armed forces. The awards were presented in recognition of the recipients’ exceptional services in defense of the country, underscoring their bravery and dedication to the motherland.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ceremony saw the distribution of forty-one Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) awards, alongside one Sitara-e-Basalat awarded posthumously. These honors represent one of the highest levels of military commendation available in Pakistan, acknowledging extraordinary bravery, leadership, and service in the face of adversity.
