Islamabad: On the occasion of Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, President Asif Ali Zardari extended his greetings to the nation, emphasizing the historical significance of the day and calling for unity and economic development.
According to Press Information Department, President Zardari reminisced about the peaceful and democratic origins of Pakistan, acknowledging the sacrifices made by the leaders and participants of the Pakistan movement. He urged the nation to prioritize unity, integrity, and economic stability to address current challenges. Highlighting the abundance of human and natural resources in the country, he stressed the importance of leveraging these assets for the welfare of the people and strengthening democratic institutions.
The President also called for enhanced investment in youth and women, improved service delivery, and the creation of a business-friendly environment. Additionally, he reiterated Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri and Palestinian peoples’ struggles for self-determination and independence. President Zardari concluded his message with a prayer for national prosperity and unity.
