Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended congratulations to Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the government, and the citizens of the Maldives on the occasion of their Independence Day.

According to Press Information Department, President Zardari emphasized the significance of this year’s celebration, which coincides with the 61st anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the Maldives. He remarked that this milestone symbolizes over six decades of steadfast friendship, mutual trust, and cooperation between the two nations.

President Zardari expressed Pakistan’s commitment to its relationship with the Maldives and expressed optimism about the future. He conveyed his belief that the ties of friendship will continue to strengthen, fostering enhanced cooperation that benefits both countries and contributes to regional peace and prosperity.
