Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari extended his congratulations to King Felipe VI and the people of Spain on the occasion of Spain’s National Day, underscoring the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Spain. In his message, President Zardari emphasized the mutual goodwill and the potential for increased cooperation in various sectors between the two nations.

According to Press Information Department: The President’s letter highlighted the growing trade and investment relationships that present opportunities for collaboration in renewable energy, agriculture, and information technology. He also noted the importance of strengthening ties between universities, researchers, and businesses in both countries. President Zardari pointed to the Pakistani community in Spain as an important connection between the two nations.

The President also mentioned the close cooperation between Pakistan and Spain at the United Nations and other multilateral platforms, focusing on shared interests such as climate action, sustainable development, and international peace.
