Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has officially approved the appointments of Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui as the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court and Justice Alia Neelam as the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, marking significant judicial leadership changes in Pakistan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both appointments were made under Article 175A (13) of the Constitution. Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui, previously the Acting Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, and Justice Alia Neelam of the Lahore High Court, have been confirmed in their new roles, a move aimed at strengthening judicial leadership and oversight in their respective provinces.
