President Zardari Commits to Equal Opportunities for Women in Public Service

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for women in public service, while expressing gratitude to the nation’s women diplomats for their ongoing contributions to international engagement. President Zardari’s remarks came on the occasion of the International Day of Women in Diplomacy.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari acknowledged the significant role that women have played in diplomacy and public life in Pakistan. He highlighted the contributions of notable figures such as Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan, who represented Pakistan abroad with dignity in its early years, and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the first woman Prime Minister in the Muslim world, who expanded the country’s international engagement.

In his message, President Zardari praised women diplomats for their dedication to advancing dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among nations. He underscored the importance of their work as part of a national effort to engage the world with seriousness and purpose.
