Gujranwala: President Asif Ali Zardari visited Gujranwala Cantonment today, accompanied by Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi. They were received by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir. Commanders of Mangla and Gujranwala Corps were also present.

During the visit, President Zardari praised the Pakistan Armed Forces for their conduct and excellence during the Marqa-e-Haq operation. He acknowledged their determination and courage against aggression. The President honored both military and civilian martyrs, emphasizing their sacrifices as a national trust and source of pride.

He highlighted the swift response of the armed forces, noting their ability to repel aggression within hours. The President stated this demonstrated Pakistan’s strength, resilience, and unity.

While interacting with officers and troops, President Zardari lauded their morale and readiness. He congratulated them on Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, expressing pride in the military as protectors of national honor and sovereignty.
