Karachi: President Asif Ali Zardari has urged the prompt advancement of projects between the Government of Sindh and Chinese companies, emphasizing the completion of remaining procedural and technical requirements. During a meeting in Karachi with delegations from Anhui Nengtong New Energy Technology Company Limited and Luoyang Modern Biology Group, the President reviewed progress across multiple sectors previously agreed upon for cooperation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions covered areas such as electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, veterinary vaccines, animal identification and traceability, agricultural technology, healthcare, and fire safety equipment. Anhui Nengtong expressed interest in manufacturing and supplying EV charging stations, aiming to develop infrastructure in Sindh, with Karachi and Hyderabad identified as potential hubs.

President Zardari highlighted the government’s facilitation of Chinese businesses and reiterated the value of Pakistan’s strategic partnership with China. He stressed the importance of further strengthening economic cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), now in its second phase. The Karachi-Hyderabad M-9 corridor was noted as a potential starting point for intercity EV charging facilities.

The briefing also included updates on collaborations with Luoyang Modern Biology Group concerning veterinary vaccines and animal identification. Vaccine trials are expected to conclude by November 2026, which could enhance livestock management, disease control, food safety, and export competitiveness in Pakistan’s livestock sector.
