Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have engaged in a telephone call to discuss the overall regional situation and its implications for Pakistan. The Prime Minister briefed the President on his recent communications with regional heads of state, emphasizing the importance of understanding the evolving geopolitical landscape.

According to Radio Pakistan, during their conversation, President Zardari underscored the necessity of protecting national interests and developing a coordinated strategy in response to the changing dynamics in the region. He highlighted that Pakistan’s interests should be defended at all levels through national consensus and effective diplomatic relations.

In addition to his discussion with the President, Prime Minister Sharif also spoke with Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, and Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Retired Justice Yaar Muhammad. During these calls, the Prime Minister extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings and conveyed his best wishes, while reaffirming a shared commitment to collaboration for the country’s betterment.
