Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari has called upon the international community to facilitate the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and to ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians amid ongoing conflicts in the region. His appeal came during a meeting with the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan, Ahmed Jawad Rabei, highlighting Pakistan’s enduring support for the Palestinian cause.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s historical and supportive stance towards Palestine, emphasizing the country’s commitment to standing with its Palestinian counterparts and advocating for their rights on global platforms. He commended the fortitude of the Palestinian people in their resistance against Israeli occupation and pledged to dispatch additional humanitarian assistance to the region.
Ambassador Rabei detailed the harsh conditions faced by Palestinians due to actions by Israeli forces and acknowledged the significant role Pakistan has played in the education sector, noting that over 50,000 Palestinians have graduated from Pakistani institutions. The discussions also conveyed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s gratitude towards Pakistan for its unwavering support and solidarity.
