Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the need for greater representation of women and minorities in government positions, aiming to foster their inclusion in the societal mainstream. This call to action was made during a discussion with a delegation from the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), led by senior member Mr. Akbar Hussain Durrani, at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.

According to Press Information Department, the President highlighted the critical role of the FPSC in recruiting civil servants, crucial for enhancing service delivery and promoting good governance throughout the country. He advocated for a more efficient and transparent recruitment process by incorporating modern technologies, such as computerized testing, to ensure the selection of qualified and capable civil servants.

During the meeting, Mr. Durrani briefed President Zardari on the functions and challenges of the FPSC in hiring government employees. The President assured the FPSC delegation of his full support and guidance in resolving these issues and improving the recruitment system, particularly stressing the importance of fair evaluation for candidates who perform well in written examinations.
