President Zardari Advocates for Financial Autonomy and Empowerment of Women


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the importance of financial autonomy for women and the expansion of their access to financial services to foster entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during discussions with Bill Winters, Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Bank, President Zardari outlined the potential benefits of economic empowerment for women, not only for individual financial stability but also for broader family and national economic upliftment.



The President urged banks to support women entrepreneurs and increase female representation in the banking sector. He also highlighted the environmental initiatives undertaken by the Government of Sindh, including trading carbon credits internationally through mangrove forestation. Moreover, President Zardari called for further investment in agriculture and infrastructure projects, emphasizing the importance of providing farmers with access to financial services to enhance productivity.
