President Zardari Advocates for Enhanced Railroad Connectivity with Turkiye to Strengthen Bilateral Relations


Ashgabat: President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the importance of improving railroad connectivity between Pakistan and Turkiye during a meeting with the Speaker of Turkish Parliament, Numan Kurtulmus. The discussions aimed to enhance trade, economic cooperation, and people-to-people contacts. President Zardari advocated for increased bilateral ties and frequent exchanges of delegations to deepen the relationship between the two nations.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the International Forum on “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – Basis of Peace and Development.” The discussions also involved Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti. President Zardari praised Turkiye’s role as a steadfast ally in the Muslim World and highlighted its vocal stance on global issues affecting Muslim countries, including the humanitarian crises in Palestine and Lebanon. The leaders acknowledged the necessity for the Muslim World to unite and address these challenges effectively.
