Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari met with Rubina Khalid, the Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), to discuss the future of the welfare initiative aimed at assisting Pakistan’s impoverished population. During the meeting, the President emphasized the need to broaden the program’s reach to include more underprivileged segments of society.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Chairperson Rubina Khalid briefed President Zardari extensively on the current operations and impact of the BISP. In response, President Zardari expressed his desire to expand the program, ensuring that a greater number of poor families can benefit from its services. He also commended the efforts of the BISP team for their dedication to serving the nation’s most deserving people.
