President Zardari Advocates Enhanced Pakistan-Poland Relations


ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has urged the transformation of Pakistan’s historic relationship with Poland into a multifaceted partnership. During a meeting in Islamabad with Polish Minister Tomasz Siemoniak, President Zardari emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations.



According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari expressed appreciation for Poland’s acknowledgment of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts during the recent U.S.-Iran crisis. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to resolving disputes through dialogue, aiming for regional and global peace and stability. The President also commended Poland’s economic achievements since 1991 and highlighted the potential for increased business and cultural exchanges.



Minister Siemoniak acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability. He expressed Poland’s interest in bolstering bilateral cooperation, especially in political, economic, and cultural domains. He emphasized Poland’s desire to explore further collaboration in areas such as security, immigration, and counter-terrorism, alongside expanding existing defense and economic ties with Pakistan.
