Islamabad, August 23, 2023 (PPI-OT): President Dr Arif Alvi has urged traders to explore the new markets for the promotion of exports of country.
Addressing a ceremony of Sargodha Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad today, he termed the role of industry as vital for strengthening the economy of country. He said industrialization is inevitable not only for the bolstering of exports but it also serves the local community.
He asked traders to bring value addition in their ideas as innovative ideas will play a pivotal role to enhance the outreach of their products.
The President urged to eliminate the loop holes of the system and leadership can play an important role in this regard.
Mentioning the example of Netherland, he said latter is nineteen times smaller to Pakistan but it is the second largest exporter of food because of its business friendly policies.
He also stressed business community to bring women into their businesses as it is essential for the women empowerment. He expressed pleasure that women have played a remarkable role in the development of the industry of Sialkot.
The President said provision of justice, provision of rights to women and uplifting of the marginalized section of society are the pre-requisites of the Islamic welfare state.
