President stresses for expanding trade, economic, and people-to-people ties with Poland 

Islamabad, June 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):President Dr Arif Alvi has stressed for expanding trade, economic, and people-to-people ties with Poland. Talking to Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Poland, Dr Khalid Hussain Memon in Islamabad today [Friday], the President said Pakistan highly values its ties with Poland and wants to further augment the relations in trade and economic realms.

He underscored the need for establishing of a Joint Business Forum with Poland and promoting cooperation with Polish companies in the energy sector. Dr Arif Alvi asked the ambassador designate to work on soliciting Poland’s continued support during the ongoing review process for the renewal of the GSP+ status of Pakistan.

He directed the Ambassador to highlight Pakistan’s rich potential for tourism to further enhance the influx of tourists and promote people-to-people contacts with the friendly country. The President also emphasized the need for establishment of institutional linkages between the Pakistani and Polish universities.
