Islamabad, December 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):President Dr. Arif Alvi has ratified the Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2022 and Foreign Investment (Promotion and Protection) Amendment Bill 2022. The Criminal Laws (Amendment) bill has repealed section 325 of the Pakistan Penal Code regarding the punishment for attempted suicide while the Foreign Investment (Promotion and Protection) Amendment bill has amended section 1 of the said Act. The President approved the bills under Article 75 of the Constitution.
