Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have affirmed their commitment to eliminate terrorism across Pakistan, honoring the sacrifices of soldiers who lost their lives in an anti-terrorism operation in Bannu. Both leaders emphasized the nation’s solidarity with its security forces in the ongoing fight against extremism.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari paid tribute to the soldiers of the Pakistan Army who were martyred in an operation against Khawarij terrorists. He expressed the nation’s support for the military’s role in defending the country and combating “Fitnah al-Khawarij,” underlining the forces’ vigilance and readiness to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Prime Minister Sharif also acknowledged the soldiers’ sacrifice, extending the nation’s gratitude to the martyrs. He reiterated Pakistan’s strong resolve to root out terrorism and underscored the collective resolve to confront threats to the nation’s security.
