President, Prime Minister Condemn Attack on Polio Team in Nushki


Nushki: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the recent attack on a polio vaccination team in Nushki, underlining the ongoing challenges faced by health workers in the region.



In a statement concerning the nationwide polio eradication efforts, President Zardari paid tribute to the workers, acknowledging their bravery in reaching children across the country. He highlighted the success of the continuous vaccination campaigns, noting a significant decrease in polio cases by over ninety percent due to effective monitoring and the courage of health workers.



Despite these achievements, the president emphasized that the fight against polio is not yet complete.



Prime Minister Sharif, in his statement, expressed deep condolences to the family of the deceased worker and condemned the attack. He assured that the government would take strict action against those responsible for targeting the polio campaign.



The statements from both leaders reflect a unified stance against the threats faced by health workers and a commitment to eradicating polio in Pakistan.
