President, PM Praise Forces for Halting Infiltration in North Waziristan

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed their appreciation for the security forces following a successful operation that resulted in the killing of eight infiltrators at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan.

In separate statements issued on Sunday, both leaders lauded the security forces for their efforts in preventing an infiltration attempt. They credited the forces with eliminating eight individuals identified as Khawarij, a term used by the government to describe certain militant groups.

President Zardari reiterated the commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces to safeguard the nation’s geographical boundaries. He stressed that military actions against militants would persist until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.

The President also underscored the unity of the nation with its security forces in the ongoing battle against terrorism.

Prime Minister Sharif commended the dedication of both officers and personnel of Pakistan’s armed forces. He acknowledged their relentless efforts in countering threats along the country’s borders, emphasizing their continuous vigilance and commitment to national security.
