President, PM, Info Minister strongly condemn blast in Peshawar 

Islamabad, March 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):President, Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have strongly condemned the blast in Peshawar. In their separate messages, president and prime minister expressed grief and sorrow over loss of precious lives. They also extended condolences to the families of the deceased.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister ordered an inquiry into the incident and directed the concerned to provide immediate medical aid to injured people. Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has also condemned the blast in Peshawar. The Minister said investigations are underway and details of the tragic incident will be shared soon. Interior Minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed strongly condemning the Peshawar blast directed the concerned to take all possible measures to ensure security in the area.

In a statement in Islamabad on Friday, Interior Minister said it was a planned bomb attack to disrupt peace and tranquillity of capital city of the province. He said there was no threat received about any untoward incident in this area. Sheikh Rashid has sought a report from Chief Secretary and Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Earlier, Interior Minister expressed grief and sorrow over loss of precious lives in the blast and extended condolence to the families of the deceased.

German Ambassador Bernhard Schlagheck has condemned Peshawar blast and termed it a heartbroken act of horrific terror against worshippers. In a Tweet, he expressed solidarity with the victims and their families in this difficult hour. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar says entire Pakistani nation stands by the armed forces in war against terrorism.

In a tweet on Friday, he said elements inimical to peace are not digesting peace and stability in the country. He said nation equally shares the grief of families of martyrs of the Peshawar mosque blast. The Punjab Governor also prayed for early recovery of those injured in the blast.
