Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi emphasized the need for nationwide electricity, gas, and water conservation strategies to safeguard Pakistan’s natural resources. He called for a consensus-based approach and behavioral changes to achieve these goals swiftly.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in his address at a ceremony in Islamabad, President Alvi highlighted the importance of resource conservation as emphasized in Islamic teachings. He referred to Quranic teachings and Hadiths, which advocate for the prudent use of resources, including water conservation even in abundance.
The President underscored the necessity of incorporating Islamic values into approaches towards using essential resources like water, gas, and electricity. He expressed concern over the ongoing atrocities against Palestinians and urged global priorities to shift from warfare to conservation and protection of the planet. This shift, he stressed, requires reevaluating current priorities to focus on conservation efforts.
