Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi has directed the Federal Insurance Ombudsman to ensure that insurance companies explicitly disclose any conflict of interest to clients before the sale of insurance policies. This move comes in light of concerns about the mis-selling of insurance policies and the structure of products offered by agents.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reported that these directives were issued as the President adjudicated a representation by Pak-Qatar Family Takaful Ltd against the Federal Insurance Ombudsman’s order.
