Islamabad, July 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that federal government is working on the agenda of sustainable development of Sindh province. This he said while chairing a high level meeting at Governor’s house in Karachi in which situation arising out of Corona pandemic and development projects in Sindh province were discussed. The president stressed to ensure participation of people of Sindh in achieving the targets of social development and sustainable use of resources to control poverty.
The president expressed worry over violation of Corona SOPs on large scale basis in the country and urged that implementation of SOPs is necessary to minimize the impacts of corona. The president also urged people to get them vaccinated against Corona as soon as possible. The president asked Governor Sindh to convene a meeting of Ulma and religious scholars before Moharramul haram so that implementation of SOPs during congregations and religious gatherings be ensured.
The federal minister for planning and development Asad Umar briefed the meeting about 4rth wave of pandemic and its new variants. He said SOPs will be got implemented in in big cities particularly in tourist sites in the country. The president on the occasion lauded the steps of federal government for development of Karachi and other districts of the province.
