Islamabad, January 25, 2022 (PPI-OT): President Dr. Arif Alvi has stressed the need for promoting football in Pakistan at higher level. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad this evening, he said there is a lot of talent in the country which needs to be explored.
The President said Pakistan’s 64 percent population comprises of youth below thirty years of age and promotion of sports in educational institutions will also save them from indulging in negative activities. He also thanked Football legend Michael Owen for visiting Pakistan and his efforts for promoting sports particularly football.
