Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi has highlighted the significance of attitudinal change as a catalyst for growth and development in various sectors of the economy, particularly in agriculture. Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, the President emphasized the integration of technological and scientific research to foster innovation in agriculture.
According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Alvi addressed the vital role of technological advancements in enhancing agricultural productivity. He specifically called on rice exporters to leverage all available tools to boost their yield, underlining the importance of this sector in the national economy.
Furthermore, the President stressed the importance of including and encouraging women in the agricultural sector, viewing this as a crucial step towards women empowerment. This approach, he noted, would not only contribute to the sector’s growth but also promote gender equality in a traditionally male-dominated field.
The President’s remarks come at a time when the agricultural sector is facing numerous challenges, including climate change and a need for modernization. His call for attitudinal change and technological integration is seen as a timely intervention to revitalize this vital sector of the economy.
