President Dr. Arif Alvi Advocates for Healthy Lifestyle to Combat Cardiovascular Diseases

Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi emphasized the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, to prevent cardiovascular diseases. His remarks were part of a video-link address to the 12th biennial conference of the Pakistan Society of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons held in Peshawar.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Alvi highlighted that preventive measures not only reduce the risk of disease but also alleviate the burden on the national healthcare system. He pointed out the increasing diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases among the young population and the high cost of lengthy treatments and surgeries. The President urged doctors and medical practitioners to promote preventive care and encourage the public to adopt regular exercise routines and healthier diets to combat cardiac diseases.
