Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi paid a visit to the embassy of Palestine in Pakistan, standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people who have faced violent actions by Israel. Urging for global condemnation of Israel’s severe responses, Dr. Alvi emphasized the pressing need for an immediate ceasefire and the establishment of a humanitarian corridor to assist the deprived Palestinian people. In his meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Islamabad, Mr. Ahmed Jawad Rabei, Dr. Alvi articulated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine.
According to Press Information Department, Advocating for the United Nations to address the Palestinian situation, he highlighted the detrimental effects of war on peace prospects, referencing the barriers hindering a peaceful two-state solution. The Palestinian Ambassador expressed gratitude for the President’s visit during these challenging times and characterized Israel’s actions as a genocide. Dr. Alvi, deeply moved by the situation, also left his thoughts in the embassy’s condolence book.
